Jürgen Fortin

Chief Executive Officer

Jürgen Fortin has been the CEO and co-founder of CNSystems since its establishment in 1998. He has served as the (co-)inventor of all CNSystems’ patents, as well as the (co-)author of all scientific publications related to the company’s CNAP® and Task Force® Monitor technologies.

With only €5.2 million in venture capital, he has built a profitable, market-leading company, globally recognized for syncope assessment and as a technology leader in non-invasive cardiovascular monitoring. Jürgen’s visionary leadership and commitment to innovation have positioned CNSystems at the forefront of this highly specialized medical field.

He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. In addition to his work at CNSystems, he teaches a course on “Development and Design of Biomedical Devices” at Graz University of Technology.

Sabine Illmaier

Chief Commercial Officer

Sabine Illmaier has been serving as Chief Commercial Officer at CNSystems since February 2024, leading global sales, marketing, and commercial strategy. She joined CNSystems in 2009 and has held several senior roles, including Head of Sales & Marketing and Clinical Sales Manager, playing a key role in the company’s international growth, strengthening global partnerships, and driving adoption of CNSystems’ innovative solutions.

Earlier in her career, Sabine gained international experience in the hospitality industry, where she enhanced her expertise in customer relationship management, cross-cultural communication, and service excellence. She holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Graz and a Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Management from Stenden University in the Netherlands.

Christian Fellner

Chief Technology Officer

Christian Fellner joined CNSystems in 2013 as a Software Engineer and has since held key roles in project and product management as well as regulatory affairs. He has led major development initiatives both internally and with industrial partners, driving the global integration of CNSystems’ non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring technologies and securing regulatory approvals in the US and EU.

In 2024, Christian was appointed Chief Technology Officer, where he combines his passion for medical technology and innovative measurement solutions with a strong focus on customer and clinical stakeholder engagement. He holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Graz University of Technology and serves as a delegate to the ISO committees on non-invasive blood pressure measurement, contributing to the development of key international standards.

Raphael Gunacker

Chief Operating Officer

Raphael Gunacker has been serving as Chief Operating Officer of CNSystems since 2024, overseeing production, supply chain, quality management, regulatory affairs, and IT. He joined the company in 2021 as Head of Quality Management, where he played a key role in strengthening CNSystems’ global compliance framework and quality systems.

With over a decade of experience in the medical technology sector, Raphael has built a strong track record in regulatory strategy, quality management, and operational excellence. He previously held senior roles with leading med-tech companies, including Carl Zeiss Meditec.

He holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the Technical University of Vienna and serves as a delegate to ISO TC 210, focusing on quality management in the medical device industry.
